Bryan Murray, P.E.

Senior Engineer

Bryan is an electrical engineer with over a decade of experience in energy storage, power electronics, measurement and communications systems. After completing his BSEE from Virginia Tech, Bryan briefly worked at the National Ocean Service before moving to California in 2015. As a co-founder and electrical lead at CalWave, an ocean energy spinout from UC Berkeley, Bryan was part of a small team that executed over $10M in Department of Energy research and development grants that ultimately led to a successful at-sea deployment of a novel clean energy generation technology. Along the way, he earned his California Professional Engineer’s license and a couple of granted patents. In sync with his work with the Clean Coalition, Bryan is pursuing a PhD focused on maximize utilization and minimizing cost on the distribution grid by modeling the impacts of flexibility.
