Communication and Program Intern

Haley has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara. Haley’s passion for sustainability and decarbonization shines through in her work interning at Coal Oil Point Reserve, her restoration experience with the Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, and her previous role as President of Your Children’s Trees where she led community-focused urban forestry initiatives in Santa Barbara County. Inspired by a renewable energy class at Reykjavik University in Iceland (“the renewable energy capital of the world”), Haley completed a senior thesis investigating the climate impacts of vehicle decarbonization, focusing on urban heat island mitigation and reduced energy consumption for air conditioning across major U.S. cities. As a Clean Coalition team member, Haley coordinates communication initiatives including media outreach, partnerships, website maintenance, quarterly newsletters, article writing, and program support as needed.
