Liam Neale

Engineering Intern

Liam is a current senior at UC Santa Barbara, studying Chemical Engineering and graduating in June 2025. His passion for the renewable energy space originated in coursework at UCSB in both engineering and environmental studies disciplines. That experience propelled him to explore the energy industry with an internship with Calpine. At Calpine, Liam worked on the power operations side, including building a protective relay database for Calpines first battery energy storage system (BESS) project. Now with the Clean Coalition, Liam is excited to be a part of the Solar Microgrid Analysis Processor (SMAP) project.
