Community Choice Energy Summit 2018

The Clean Coalition was a partner organization for the Community Choice Energy Summit, which took place on April 24-26, 2018in San Diego, CA.

The 2018 Community Choice Energy Summit featured an opening session on Sacramento policy and “state of play,” as well as a special session designed to provide Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) CEOs, Directors, City Mayors, and General Managers an opportunity to network and participate in high-level discussions. Other content further explored power procurement and financial strategies for newer CCAs, Power Purchase Agreement contract nuances for more advanced CCAs, strategies for developing local power sources, approaches for utilizing ratepayer data to create customer and community value, and other innovative programs and strategies designed to improve local sustainability while also creating local jobs. The meeting included updates on the latest development in CCA electrical vehicle infrastructure, distributed energy resources (DER), demand response, energy efficiency, and more.

The Summit provided unbeatable opportunities for the CCA community – including both operational and formative – to mingle with and hear from thought leaders, peers, partners, renewable project and DER developers, utilities, regulators, grassroots activists, experts, and solution providers.
