L.A. Mayoral Housing, Transportation and Jobs Summit

The Clean Coalition wasa partner organization for the Los Angeles Business Council’s (LABC) 2015 Mayoral Housing, Transportation and Jobs Summit:Building a Smart Region,which took place on October 23, 2015 atUCLA in Los Angeles, CA.

The 2015 Mayoral Housing, Transportation and Jobs Summit focused oninnovative solutions to increase housing production and support affordable housing development in the City and County of Los Angeles; strategies to connect the Los Angeles River with development opportunities in high-growth, transit-oriented districts at major Metro transit hubs; why Los Angeles’ burgeoning technology sectors and a favorable startup ecosystem means new opportunities for L.A.’s workforce; and a potential for a new sales tax measure that would provide billions to fund transportation infrastructure improvements and new projects in L.A. County. The presentersdemonstrated how pursuing these opportunities among other complementary priorities can provide new economic opportunities and build a more competitive, sustainable, and smarter Los Angeles region.
