Silicon Valley Energy Storage Symposium
The Clean Coalition presented at this event, which took place on May 30, 2012 in Mountain View, CA.
The Clean Coalition, in partnership with Joint Venture Silicon Valley, was proud to present 2012 Silicon Valley Energy Storage Symposium on Wednesday, May 30 from 8 am to 4 pm at Microsoft’s auditorium in Mountain View, California.
This symposium brought together key participants – from the public and private sectors and from the academic and research communities – to engage in a discussion about energy storage and how we can move the industry forward in Silicon Valley.
The event included keynote presentations from FERC Commissioner Cheryl A. LaFleur, Steve Berberich, President and Chief Executive Officer of the California ISO, and Imre Gyuk, Energy Storage Research Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Energy. The agenda included updates on energy storage at the state and federal levels, as well as a fresh look at the local energy storage industry. The symposium also included panel discussions about the role of storage on the grid in relation to transmission and generation, and the decision-making process for implementing storage technologies from an end-user perspective.
