Attendees joined the Clean Coalition and the Los Angeles Business Council for the event – Solar Financing Series: Expanding the Capacity of Solar Companies and How to Successfully Finance Projects – on Monday 13 January, 7:30-9:30am, in Los Angeles. Solving the financing issue is a crucial step in deploying greater amounts of clean local energy. This event supported accelerating the transition to clean local energy by addressing major barriers. Representatives from the Clean Coalition participated, including Craig Lewis, Executive Director, and Greg Thomson, Director of Programs.
Moderated by Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Koretz, the event brought together leading renewable energy financiers from around the country to help the solar industry develop a formula for success by leveraging existing programs that remove barriers to solar financing. Aptly set in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s CLEAN LA Solar Program serves as a local model for streamlining the deployment of cost-effective distributed solar by addressing project financing.
