- Video recording of the event can be found on Environment California’s Facebook page here.
- Craig Lewis spoke on the following topics:
- The SB region is super grid vulnerable — and local solar is the key answer for achieving energy resilience across the region. See this colorful 2-pager for background:
- Examples of projects that the Clean Coalition has facilitated, or is facilitating, including the Solar Microgrid projects for the Santa Barbara Unified School District (SBUSD), Santa Barbara Humane (SBH), Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara (USSB). See this brief article for background on the SBUSD Solar Microgrids:
- Call-to-action to support local solar, in the following ways:
- Put solar on homes & businesses with which you are associated, whether you own or rent a home or business, you either have direct influence or indirect influence.
- Support the initiative in Santa Barbara County to treat solar parking canopies the same as rooftop solar. This issue will be heard by the Planning Commission today so I will have hot-off-the-press information by tomorrow’s SB Solar Strong event.
- Support the Environment California legislative agenda to help unleash local solar.
