The Clean Coalition was a partner organization for the Los Angeles Business Council’s (LABC) 11th Annual Sustainability Summit: “California Business for Cleaner, Greener Communities,” which tookplace on April 28, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA.
This year’s Summit focused on how businesses in California are building cleaner, greener communities now and into the future. The LABC Sustainability Summit has become one of Los Angeles’ most influential forums on climate action by promoting valuable partnerships between public policymakers, clean technology innovators, and businesses who are leaders in sustainability.
This year’s speaker lineup played an instrumental role in the corporate, governmental, and civic sectors toward realizing California’s goals to lead the nation in renewable standards, sustainable design, and clean energy. Speakers at the Summit included:California State President Pro Tempore Kevin de Leon; Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti; California Public Utilities Commission President Michael Picker; Michael Northrop, Program Director for Sustainable Development at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund; Matt Arnold, Managing Director & Head of Social and Sustainable Finance at JPMorgan Chase; and Chairman and CEO of Fivepoint Emile Haddad.
