Grid-Scale Energy Storage 2014 - Clean Coalition

Grid-Scale Energy Storage 2014

Executive Director Craig Lewis presented at this event, which took place on June 11 - 13, 2014, in San Diego, CA.

Craig Lewis, Executive Director of the Clean Coalition, presented at the Grid-Scale Energy Storage conference on Thursday, June 12.

Mr. Lewis was part of a panel discussion titled “Community Microgrids and the Roles for Energy Storage” from 11:45-12:30pm. He discussed the Clean Coalition’s groundbreaking Hunters Point Project, which will bring clean local energy online in San Francisco.  The Hunters Point Project, named after the substation that serves both the Bayview and Hunters Point areas, will prove that local renewable energy can fulfill at least 25% of total electric energy consumption in the area. This project will also bring substantial economic, energy, and environmental benefits to the local area, which are detailed in the Hunters Point Project Benefits Analysis.
