Greg Thomson, Programs Director for the Clean Coalition, presented at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Energy and Sustainability Summit, which took place on June 13 at Oracle in Redwood City.
Mr. Thomson was part of a panel discussion titled “Connecting the Dots: Scaling Up Intelligent Microgrids” from 2:30-3:45pm. He detailed the Clean Coalition’s groundbreaking Hunters Point Project, which will bring clean local energy online in San Francisco. The Hunters Point Project, named after the substation that serves both the Bayview and Hunters Point areas, will prove that clean local energy can fulfill at least 25% of total electric energy consumption in the area. This project will also bring substantial economic, energy, and environmental benefits to the local area, which are detailed in the Hunters Point Project Benefits Analysis.
