Renewable Energy Financing Workshop

On Friday, July 20 from 11:00 – 11:40 am (MST), Craig Lewis, Executive Director of the Clean Coalition, presented at the Renewable Energy Financing Workshop at the Arizona Corporation Commission headquearters in Hearing Room 1. The workshop was centered around educating the public and the Arizona Corporation Commission about various finanacing mechanisms for renewable energy sources. Craig Lewis’ presentation was focused on net metering, feed-in tariffs, and wholesale distributive generation and how these mechanisms work to spur renewable energy development and enhance renewable energy affordability.
Other presenters at the workshop discussed community solar, tradable renewable energy credits, and property assessed clean energy programs. The target audience included community members, the Arizona Corporation Commissioners and utility companies.
